FishOS Widens the Capabilities with OpenStack Addons

Being a huge source of tools and ideas, OpenStack constantly offers an extensive range of opportunities for FishOS product development, upgrading its functionality and adding new beneficial features.

Sardina Systems is a corporate sponsor of the OpenStack Foundation, and our TechTeam is an active participant in the open-source community. We regularly monitor the market trends and OpenStack activity to bring additional value to FishOS, improve our customers’ experience with OpenStack.

Today FishOS successfully operates with Heat and Designate. These OpenStack components are implemented in our product, and the customers have already evaluated their benefits.

Heat provides a declarative template format through an OpenStack-native REST API to orchestrate composite cloud applications. Its templates specify the relationships between resources and help OpenStack APIs create the application launch infrastructure correctly. Besides, to make Heat usage comfortable, the templates describe the infrastructure in text files readable and writable by humans.

Designate is a powerful DNSaaS component. It helps provide REST API for domain and record management. The OpenStack component comes up with multi-tenant support and can be integrated with the identity service Keystone.

Implementing Heat and Designate in FishOS means widening the private cloud environment capabilities on OpenStack for our customers. Sardina’s Team cares about the quality of experience that the enterprise gets with OpenStack. We are pretty sure that the right tools can make complicated things simple. And as a result, FishOS customers can enjoy their OpenStack exploits.
